Prof. Ze Cheng

Tianjin University, China

Professor of School of Electrical Automation and Information, Tianjin University, Ph.D. Supervisor. He presided over and participated in more than 10 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and provincial or ministerial Science and Technology Foundation. He obtained 5 invention patents and published over 40 related papers. He won the title of “Tianjin outstanding management of technological innovation" and the Fifth Tianjin University "top ten" graduate supervisors. He is currently the chairman of Tianjin Power Supply Society and the review experts of projects and scientific and technological progress awards of Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission. He is the reviewers of over 10 domestic and abroad publications.

Prof. Concettina Buccella

University of L'Aquila, Italy

Concettina Buccella was born in L'Aquila. She received the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of L'Aquila, Italy, in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1995. After graduation, from 1988 to 1989 she was a research engineer with Italtel SpA, R&D Center in L'Aquila, Italy. In 1991 she joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of L'Aquila, where she became an assistant professor in 1994 and since 2002 she is an Associate Professor of Electrotechnics.


Her research interests deal with smart grids, power converters, modulation techniques, management of renewable energy, analitical and numerical modeling, electromagnetic compatibility, controlled active shields, power line communications, models of biological systems with particular attention to the human eye, applications of neural networks and wavelet transform. She authored more than 120 papers mostly published on IEEE Transactions and on IEEE conference proceedings.

Prof. Hongwei Wu

University of Hertfordshire, UK

Professor Hongwei Wu (FIMechE, FRAeS, FEI) is a full Professor of Thermofluids in the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science, and Leader of the Research Group in Monitoring Climate and its Impact (MCI) at University of Hertfordshire. Professor Wu is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a Fellow of esteemed organisations such as the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS), the Energy Institute (FEI), and the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). He is a Royal Academy of Engineering Academic Champion, a visiting professor at East Kazakhstan State Technical University, and a member of the UK Turbulence Consortium. He received his BEng, PhD (Joint PhD Programme with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology - HKUST) in Thermofluids all from Beihang University. He has an academic and research profile previously developed at Northumbria University, University of the West of Scotland, Birmingham University and Brunel University London in UK, as well as at the University of British Columbia & University of Alberta in Canada.


Professor Wu's research mainly focuses on Advanced Cooling Technology, Energy Conversion and Storage Technologies, Renewable Energy and Energy System, Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS), Two Phase and Multiphase Flow, Fluid-Solid Conjugate Heat Transfer, Modelling/Simulation methods (CFD)-DNS, LES, MDS, Optimisation and Process Control, AI-Machine Learning (ML)-Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). He leads various UK/EU based research projects funded by the Horizon Europe, EPSRC, British Council, Royal Academy of Engineering, Royal Society, Innovate UK, and various industry partners.

Prof. Jun Xu

Xi'an Jiaotong University, China

Jun Xu received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi'an, China, in 2009 and 2013, respectively., From 2011 to 2013, he was a Joint Ph.D. Student with the U.S. Department of Energy GATE Center for Electric Drive Transportation, College of Electrical and Computer Science, University of Michigan, Dearborn, MI, USA. He is currently a Professor with the School of Mechanical Engineering, Xi'an Jiaotong University. He has conducted extensive research and authored more than 90 peer-reviewed papers. He holds more than 20 patents. His research interests include design, modeling, control of battery systems, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems, and robots., Dr. Xu was the recipient of the Innovation Award of the China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Award, the First Prize of the Shaanxi Province University Science and Technology Award, the Second Prize of the Shaanxi Province Teaching Achievement Award, and the Special Award of the Xi'an Jiaotong University Teaching Achievement Award. He was the Conference Chair, the Organizing Committee Co-Chair, and the Conference Academic Committee Member for several international conferences.
